IDRAS: International Drilling to Recover Aquifer Sands and Arsenic Contaminated Groundwater in Asia
- Status: This ICDP drilling proposal with Michael Berg (Eawag, Dübendorf)
as co-proponent was approved in August 2014. The development of a tailor-made drilling technology has
been challenging so that the project start is delayed to summer 2016. Investigations
in Switzerland will focus on the geochemistry of groundwater and sediments,
water isotopes and dating of pore water.
